NHL: Montreal 3, Pittsburgh 2

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Scott Gomez scored from a sharp angle with 1:48 left in the game Saturday, sending the Montreal Canadiens to a 3-2 decision over Pittsburgh.

Gomez skated down the left side and flicked a wrister at Marc-Andre Fluery that seemed stoppable but trickled past the Penguins' goalie, breaking a 2-2 tie.
