Vikings fullback Felton charged with DWI

WASHINGTON, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Chris Wondolowski scored twice Saturday, propelling San Jose to a 2-0 win over D.C. United and a berth in the Major League Soccer playoffs.
The Earthquakes (12-8-7) weren't assured of their post-season spot until about an hour after their victory when Kansas City lost to Seattle 2-1.
Wondolowski's 13th and 14th goals of the season pulled him within two of Los Angeles striker Edson Buddle for the MLS Golden Boot, which goes to the league's top scorer.
D.C. United (6-19-3) lost for the 19th time this year, a franchise record, and was shutout for the 16th time this season, a league record.
