WACO, Texas, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Baylor senior basketball guard LaceDarius Dunn has been suspended indefinitely after being charged with domestic violence, Coach Scott Drew said Tuesday.

Dunn, a key cog in Baylor's run to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight last season, turned himself in to Waco, Texas, police Tuesday after being charged with felony aggravated assault/family violence stemming from an incident last week involving his girlfriend, the Sporting News reported.

The publication cited a police report alleging Dunn broke the jaw of Lacharlesia Edwards, 21, of Waco by punching her in the face during an argument.

Drew issued a statement indicating Dunn had been banned "from all team activities."

Baylor officials have withheld comment while conducting their own investigation.

Dunn, a 6-4 shooting guard from Monroe, La., established a Bears single-season record last year with 704 points, averaging 19.6 points as a junior. He has scored 1,739 points for his career and was on a path to become the school's all-time leading scorer.
