COL FB: Nevada 44, UNLV 26

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Vai Taua rambled for 188 yards and scored four touchdowns Saturday, powering No. 25 Nevada's 44-26 victory over Nevada-Las Vegas.

Taua scored on touchdown runs of 3, 72 and 2 yards, carrying the ball 19 times for the Wolfpack (5-0), who downed their intrastate non-conference rival for the sixth straight year.

He also hauled in a scoring pass from Colin Kaepernick, who went 13-of-17 passing for 124 yards and rushed 13 times for 97 yards and a score.

The Rebels (1-4) were led by Omar Clayton, who went 14-of-23 for 214 yards through the air with one touchdown and one interception.

Clayton also ran the ball 11 times for 54 yards and a touchdown.
