Magic's Williams to have knee surgery

ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Orlando Magic guard Jason Williams will miss about four weeks after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery, the team said Wednesday.

Williams, who played in all 82 Magic games last season, will have the procedure performed on his left knee.

He averaged 6.0 points, 3.6 assists and 1.5 rebounds in just over 20 minutes per game last year, with totals of 2.6 points and 1.6 assists in 14 playoff games.

Williams has put up career averages of 10.8 points, 6.0 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game over 761 contests with the Kings, Grizzlies, Heat and Magic.
