CARSON, Calif., Sept. 29 (UPI) -- David Beckham, recently returned to MLS play from an Achilles tendon injury, said he doesn't expect to be loaned this season to a European soccer team.

Beckham, 35, played the last two seasons for AC Milan as he tried to work his way back onto the English national team. However, a torn Achilles tendon in March ended his hopes of playing in the 2010 World Cup.

He returned to the lineup of the MLS Los Angeles Galaxy, making two appearances as a substitute before playing an entire game last Friday.

He told fifa.com that he was focusing on "getting my full fitness back."

Asked if he would return to Europe to play this season he said, "I don't think so."

"Physically I need to get myself back in order after a very long time out of the game. I can't say for sure but I guess we'll just have to wait and see," he said.
