Vikings fullback Felton charged with DWI

CLEVELAND, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Matt LaPorta, Luke Carlin and Travis Hafner all homered in the fifth inning Monday, boosting the Cleveland Indians to a 6-3 win over Detroit.
Hafner's three-run shot capped the long-ball barrage off Tigers starter Armando Galarraga (4-8) and gave the Indians a win in the first of a three-game set at Progressive Field.
Carlos Carrasco (2-1) earned the victory despite allowing 11 hits in six innings. The Indians right-hander yielded three runs, walking one and striking out five.
Galarraga finished with five runs allowed over 4 2/3 innings.
Austin Jackson collected a pair of hits and drove in two runs for Detroit.
