SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Jimmy Raye was fired Monday as offensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers, who are 0-3 and are next-to-last in points scored this season in the NFL.
The 49ers said quarterbacks coach Mike Johnson would take over as offensive coordinator. Both have been with the team since February 2009. Raye replaced Mike Martz, who led the team's offense for one year.
