CHAMBOURCY, France, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Briton John Parry fired his second straight 2-under 70 Sunday, notching his first career European Tour victory at The Vivendi Cup in France.
Parry's 17-under-par 271 was good enough for a two-shot margin of victory over first-round leader Johan Edfors, who carded a 71 at the Marly Course at Golf de Joyenval to take second place at minus-15.
Parry, 23, qualified for the European Tour through his performance on the developmental Challenge Tour, but with his Sunday win will now receive a 1-year exemption.
His key moments came when he got birdies on holes nine and 10 to go up by two strokes over second-round co-leader Jarmo Sandelin (71) and Mark F. Haastrup (72).
Robert-Jan Derksen (71) finished third, joined by Soren Kjeldsen (70), Sandelin, Francois Delamontagne (71) and Haastrup.
