TORONTO, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Chris Wondolowski's hat trick Saturday sent the San Jose Earthquakes to a 3-2 Major League Soccer win over Toronto FC.
Wondolowski scored on a penalty kick 3 minutes into the game, added a second goal early in the second half and got his third in the 67th minute.

Dwayne De Rosario and Maicon Santos scored for Toronto, which has seen its playoff hopes just about disappear with just one win in its last eight games.
the Earthquakes are unbeaten in four straight and are in contention for a playoff spot out West.
