MLB: Florida 4, Milwaukee 0

MILWAUKEE, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Chris Volstad hurled six-plus shutout innings and Mike Stanton homered Saturday in the Florida Marlins' 4-0 win over Milwaukee.

Volstad (11-9) surrendered six hits and didn't walk a batter while striking out two.

The victory lifted the Marlins to their first win in a four-game weekend series against the Brewers.

Stanton led off the seventh with a homer for a 2-0 Marlins lead. Logan Morrison, Gaby Sanchez and Osvaldo Martinez added RBI for Florida.

Brewers starter Chris Narveson (11-9) allowed two runs on six hits in 6 2/3 innings of work.
