Vikings fullback Felton charged with DWI

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Joe Blanton tossed seven innings of two-run ball Friday, lifting the Philadelphia Phillies to their 11th straight win, 3-2 over the New York Mets.
Blanton (8-6) limited the Mets to six hits, walking one and striking out six, raising his record to 3-0 in his last six starts and giving the Phils their longest winning streak since Sept.16-26, 1983.
Brad Lidge pitched a scoreless ninth as the Phillies reduced their magic number to clinch the NL East crown to three.
Carlos Ruiz singled home the tie-breaking run in the fourth inning and Shane Victorino socked a two-run homer for the winners.
Mets starter R.A. Dickey (11-8) yielded three runs on eight hits over six frames.
Angel Pagan homered for New York in the loss.
