MEMPHIS, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- NBA first-round draft picks Xavier Henry and Greivis Vasquez have agreed to contract terms with the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies chose Henry, who played one season at Kansas, with the 12th overall selection in the draft. Vasquez, a four-year player at Maryland, was taken 28th.
"It's great to have both Xavier and Greivis signed and in the fold now," said Grizzlies General Manager Chris Wallace. "They're both very bright young men from tremendous college programs. We think they can definitely help our team."
Henry was the second-leading scorer at Kansas last season with a 13.4 point-per-game average. He hit nearly 42 percent of his shots from 3-point range.
Vasquez was the ACC player of the year in 2009-10 and won the Bob Cousy Award as the nation's top collegiate guard. He averaged 19.6 points and 6.3 assists a game last season for the Terrapins.
