IOWA CITY, Iowa, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- No. 18 Iowa has lost running back Jewel Hampton and linebacker Bruce Davis for the rest of the season due to knee injuries, Coach Kirk Ferentz said Tuesday.
Ferentz said both players will require surgery.

Hampton, a sophomore, missed all of 2009 with an anterior cruciate ligament knee injury.
Before being injured in last week's loss to Arizona, Hampton had rushed for 114 yards with one touchdown and added a receiving score this season. As a true freshman in 2008, he had 463 yards and seven touchdowns on 91 carries.
Davis played in all 13 games last year, recording 14 tackles and a forced fumble. He made five stops in three games this year.
