MIAMI, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Chicago Cubs rookie Tyler Colvin said Monday he will remain hospitalized in Miami for several days after getting hit by a flying piece of a teammate's bat.
Colvin, 25, was injured Sunday while running from third to home on Welington Castillo's broken-bat single to left. Part of the bat struck Colvin on the left side, causing a puncture wound below his collar bone.
