CARSON, Calif., Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Kei Kamara and Teal Bunbury scored second-half goals Sunday, staking the Kansas City Wizards to a 2-0 victory over Chivas USA.

Kamara broke a scoreless tie in the 70th minute when he headed a Michael Harrington pass over a defender to himself, then fired his career-high ninth goal of the season past Goats goalkeeper Zach Thornton.

Rookie Bunbury added an insurance goal in the 83rd minute, his third of the season for Kansas City (8-9-6), which moved within six points of the eighth and final playoff spot.

Chivas USA fell to 7-13-4. While not yet mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, the Goats are 11 points out of a playoff spot with six games remaining.
