Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Mark Ellis pounded a two-run homer among his three hits Sunday and the Oakland Athletics downed Minnesota 6-2 Sunday.
Akinori Iwamura added a pair of RBI for Oakland, which took the rubber match of a three-game series with the Twins.
Bobby Cramer (2-0), a 30-year-old rookie making his second major league start, held Minnesota to two runs on five hits, issuing three walks in a 5 2/3-inning effort.
Twins starter Francisco Liriano (14-8) was saddled with his first loss since July 9. He was touched for five runs and seven hits over five innings of work.
Michael Cuddyer and Jim Thome smacked homers for the Twins, whose magic number to clinch their second consecutive American League Central title remained at five.
