COL FB: Southern Cal 32, Minnesota 21

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Robert Woods returned a kickoff 97 yards in the third quarter Saturday, sparking Southern California to a 32-21 victory over Minnesota.

Minnesota had just taken its only lead of the game, 14-13 with 6:05 left in third quarter, when Woods gathered in the ensuing kickoff and rambled all the way for a score to put USC (3-0) ahead for good and spark 19 straight Trojans points.

Allen Bradford gained 129 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries and quarterback Matt Barkley went 16-of-25 passes for 191 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in the win.

Minnesota (1-2) sputtered on offense, gaining only 305 total yards. Adam Weber completed 15-of-29 passes for 226 yards, compiling two touchdowns and a pair of interceptions.
