Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

MIAMI, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Cole Hamels held the Marlins to one run over 6 2/3 innings Tuesday and the Philadelphia Phillies posted a key 2-1 win over Florida.
Hamels (11-10) fanned 13 batters, scattered five hits and walked two for the Phillies, who upped their National League East lead over Atlanta to two games with their seventh victory in eight games.
Chad Durbin and Ryan Madson combined for 1 1/3 scoreless innings and Brad Lidge notched his 22nd save in Philadelphia's win.
Placido Polanco and Jason Werth knocked in runs for the victors.
Marlins starter Adalberto Mendez (1-1) allowed two runs on four hits and five walks over 4 1/3 innings.
