
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Micheal Spurlock's 33-yard, fourth-quarter touchdown reception Sunday rallied the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a 17-14 win over Cleveland.
Bucs signal-caller Josh Freeman went 17-of-28 through the air for 182 yards and two touchdowns with only one interception as Tampa Bay won its first game of the season.
First-year receiver Mike Williams hauled down a TD pass and Cadillac Williams contributed 75 yards rushing for the victors.
New Cleveland quarterback Jake Delhomme was good on 20 of his 37 pass attempts for 227 yards and a touchdown, but was picked off twice.
Browns running back Peyton Hillis carried the ball nine times for 41 yards and a score while Jerome Harrison contributed 52 yards on nine carries in the season-opening loss.
