ST. LOUIS, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Derek Anderson found Larry Fitzgerald in the end zone in the fourth quarter Sunday, lifting the Arizona Cardinals to a 17-13 decision over St. Louis. Anderson, who was named the Cardinals' starting quarterback over former first-round pick Matt Leinart, hit Fitzgerald on a 21-yard scoring strike with 6:13 left to put Arizona up for good. Anderson was 22-of-41 passing for 297 yards on the day.

Tim Hightower rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries and Steve Breaston collected seven receptions for 132 yards for Arizona (1-0).
St. Louis rookie signal-caller Sam Bradford had a mixed NFL debut. The No. 1 overall pick out of Oklahoma went 32-for-55 with 253 yards and a score, but was plagued by three interceptions.
The final pick-off hurt most, as Arizona intercepted a Bradford pass deep in Cardinals territory within the final 2 minutes.
The Rams were led by Steven Jackson with 81 yards on 22 carries and by Mark Clayton, who hauled down 10 passes for 119 yards.
