WASHINGTON, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Mike Stanton belted a pair of homers, driving in a total of three runs, to help the Florida Marlins prevail over Washington 6-5 Sunday.

Stanton's blasts were his 19th and 20th of the season. The rookie ended the day 3-for-4 with a walk and helped the Marlins gain a three-game sweep over Washington at Nationals Park.

Emilio Bonifacio added three hits and scored twice with an RBI in the victory.

Brian Sanches (1-2) earned the win with 1 2/3 innings of scoreless ball in relief of a shaky Chris Volstad.

Nationals starter Jordan Zimmerman (0-1) was pounded for five hits and five runs in three innings.

Ivan Rodriguez collected three RBI for Washington.
