MLS: Chivas USA 2, New England 0

CARSON, Calif., Sept. 11 (UPI) -- First-half goals by Justin Braun and Paulo Nagamura Friday brought Chivas USA a 2-0 decision over New England.

Chivas won for the second time in three matches, boosting its record to 7-12-4. New England (7-13-3) has dropped four out of five.

Braun scored his ninth goal of the season in the 6th minute, taking a perfect pass from Alan Gordon and easily putting the ball past goalkeeper Matt Reis.

Gordon again assisted 30 minutes later when Nagamura scored his first goal.
