DETROIT, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Cesar Izturis socked a two-run triple Saturday, highlighting a four-run sixth inning that lifted the Baltimore Orioles to a 5-3 decision over Detroit.
Felix Pie and Ty Wigginton also drove in runs in the big frame to back Jeremy Guthrie (10-13), who delivered seven scoreless innings in which he scattered five hits, struck out four and walked one.
Koji Uehara collected his ninth save with a scoreless ninth inning, lifting the O's to a win in the second of a three-game set at Comerica Park.
Detroit was led by Jhonny Peralta, who belted a two-run double.
Tigers starter Max Scherzer (10-10) was saddled with the loss, giving up 12 hits and four runs in six frames.
