OAKLAND, Calif., Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Coco Crisp had a two-run homer and singled in the go-ahead run in the sixth Wednesday, rallying the Oakland A's to a 4-3 win over Seattle.

The Mariners took a 3-0 lead through two innings but were blanked the rest of the way by three Oakland pitchers.

Starter Gio Gonzalez (14-8) settled down after giving up two quick homers and got the win by striking out nine with six hits over 6 2/3 innings. Craig Breslow protected the one-run lead by retiring all four men he faced and Andrew Bailey struck out two during a perfect ninth for his 22nd save.

Russell Branyan hit a two-run homer for the Mariners in the second and Matt Tuiasosopo had a solo shot in the second.

Crisp brought the Athletics within one with his two-run blast in the third and Oakland produced the final two runs of the game in the sixth.

With starter Luke French (4-5) still on the mound, Mark Ellis doubled to open the sixth and moved to third on a bunt single by Rajai Davis. After Ellis was thrown out at home by Matt Carson on a fielder's choice, Jamey Wright relieved French.

Wright walked Steve Tolleson to load the bases and Davis scored the tying run on a fielder's choice by Cliff Pennington. Crisp followed with a single that brought home Carson to put Oakland in front.
