PARIS, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Formula One officials said Wednesday they added an Indian Grand Prix for 2011, making their schedule, at 20 races, the longest in the tour's history.
The Indian Grand Prix, which will be run in New Delhi, was placed Oct. 30 between Grand Prix stops in South Korea and the United Arab Emirates. The race in India is still awaiting official sanction from the International Automobile Federation, however.
The 2011 schedule begins with the Bahrain Grand Prix March 13 and concludes with the Brazilian Grand Prix Nov. 27.
FIA also said Wednesday it would continue to limit the F1 entry list to 12 teams for at least the next two seasons, as none of the teams bidding to become the 13th team met all qualifications.
