ANAHEIM, Calif., Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Shin-Soo Choo's ninth-inning RBI single Monday delivered Cleveland a 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels.
Jayson Nix went 2-for-4 with a run scored in the Indians' victory, which came in the first game of a three-game series and was just their third in nine games.
Jensen Lewis (4-2) got the win for striking out Mike Napoli to end the eighth inning. Chris Perez pitched a perfect ninth for his 19th save.
The Angels got a homer from Torii Hunter.
