McMurray takes Atlanta Nationwide crown

HAMPTON, Ga., Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Jamie McMurray held off a determined Kyle Busch in the closing laps Saturday, notching a win in the Great Clips 300 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

McMurray took his first Nationwide Series win since November 2004, grabbing the lead from Brad Keselowski with 23 laps remaining and hanging on to best Busch.

Busch, who was attempting to win his record 11th Nationwide race of the season, ended up in second place.

Carl Edwards finished third. Defending Atlanta champ Kevin Harvick came in fourth and Matt Kenseth rounded out the top five.

Keselowski ended in 12th place. His points lead over Edwards stood at 332 points.
