NASHVILLE, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- LeGarrette Blount and Alvin Pearman scored fourth-quarter rushing touchdowns Thursday, bringing the Tennessee Titans a 27-24 pre-season win over New Orleans.
The defending Super Bowl champion Saints were locked in a 13-13 tie with the Titans heading into the fourth quarter, but Tennessee put together drives of 63 and 80 yards to get the touchdowns by Blount and Pearman.
Vince Young started for the Titans and completed 4-of-7 passes for 24 yards and a touchdown. Kerry Collins took over and was 8-of-17 for 89 yards.
Drew Brees sat out the game for New Orleans, giving Chase Daniel much of the playing time at quarterback. Daniel was 10-of-18 for 137 yards and a touchdown.
Both teams finished the pre-season at 2-2. Tennessee begins its campaign at home against Oakland and New Orleans hosts the first game of the season next Thursday against Minnesota.
