NEW YORK, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Curtis Granderson drove in three runs Friday, helping the New York Yankees extend their winning streak to seven games with a 7-3 win over Toronto.

Brett Gardner knocked in one run with a triple and scored three runs for the Yankees, who sent the Blue Jays off to their four loss in five games.

Kerry Wood (3-4) picked up the win in relief of starter Ivan Nova, who was lifted after 4 2/3 innings. Nova allowed three runs and six hits.

New York knocked out Brandon Morrow (10-7) out after three innings, racking up six hits, three walks and five runs off the Blues Jays starter.

Toronto scored in the first on a Travis Snider home run but New York piled up five runs over the next three innings. Gardner and Granderson, who opened the New York first with walks, both scored in the inning. Granderson doubled in Eduardo Nunez and Gardner in the second and Ramiro Pena singled in a run in the third.

The Blue Jays got a pair of runs in the fourth on an Aaron Hill RBI double and a sacrifice fly but New York went up 7-3 two innings later when Gardner tripled in a run and then scored on Granderson's second double.
