DETROIT, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- A Michigan State University basketball player was arrested for drunken driving in East Lansing, Mich., authorities said.
East Lansing Police ticketed junior point guard Korie Lucious, 20, early Monday for misdemeanor "operating while intoxicated" after he was found to have a blood-alcohol level of 0.09 during a traffic stop, the Detroit Free Press reported.
Lucious posted bond of $200 and has 10 days to be arraigned in East Lansing District Court.
MSU coach Tom Izzo released a one-sentence statement Wednesday: "We're aware a ticket was issued, and we're still gathering information."
Lucious, a 5-foot-11 guard from Milwaukee, made the game-winning shot at the buzzer against Maryland in the second round of the NCAA tournament in March.
The Spartans' 85-83 victory put them in the regional semifinals, and MSU later advanced to the Final Four.
