SEATTLE, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- Felix Hernandez pitched seven shutout innings and Adam Moore drove in the winning run Tuesday in the Seattle Mariners' 3-1 win over the Los Angeles Angels.

Moore had two hits, including a single that drove in Jose Lopez and broke a 1-1 tie in the three-run Seattle eighth inning. Michael Saunders and Josh Wilson had the other two RBI in the eighth, which sent the Halos to their seventh loss in their last nine starts.

Hernandez allowed three hits and three walks and struck out eight. The win went to Brandon League (9-6), who allowed the only Angels run in the top of the eighth. Dan Aardsma earned his 26th save.

Dan Haren turned in his best start since joining the Angels, going seven scoreless innings, allowing seven hits and striking out eight. Kevin Jepsen (2-4) took the loss in relief.
