PHOENIX, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- The Arizona Cardinals have signed defensive tackle Darnell Dockett to a 4-year contract extension, the team said Wednesday.

Dockett, who was set to be a free agent after the 2011 season, is now locked up through 2015. The two-time Pro Bowler racked up 57 tackles, a team-leading seven sacks and one interception last season for the Cardinals.

The former Florida State Seminole has started every game in the last five years for Arizona.

In his 96-game NFL career, Dockett has collected 332 tackles, 26 sacks and four interceptions.
