Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft
CARSON, Calif., Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Justin Braun headed the ball past goalkeeper Troy Perkins in the 13th minute Sunday, giving Chivas USA 1-0 MLS victory over D.C. United.
The score was Braun's eighth of the season and improved Chivas' record to 6-11-4. Chivas goalie Zach Thornton made four saves in his fourth shutout this year.
United (4-15-3) missed several opportunities to tie the contest and went on to lose for the sixth time in its last seven matches.
