NFL: San Francisco 28, Oakland 24

OAKLAND, Calif., Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Anthony Dixon punched into the end zone from 1 yard out late in the fourth quarter Saturday, lifting San Francisco to a 28-24 exhibition win over Oakland.

Dixon finished with 69 yards on 21 cars for the 49ers, now 3-0.

Alex Smith went 9-for-15 with 113 yards and a 16-yard touchdown to Josh Morgan for the winners.

San Francisco also got a 28-yard field goal from Joe Nedney and an 83-yard punt return from Phillip Adams.

Bruce Gradkowski completed 14-of-22 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns for the Raiders, now 2-1. Gradkowski hit Louis Murphy for a 74-yard TD and Zach Miller for a 27-yard score.

Michael Bush ran for a score but had just 23 yards on seven rushes.

Sebastian Janikowski added a field goal for Oakland.
