Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

ARLINGTON, Texas, Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Dallas Braden tossed his second career shutout -- a four-hitter -- and the Oakland Athletics whitewashed Texas 5-0 Saturday.
Braden (9-9) mystified the Rangers in a 120-pitch gem, during which he walked none and struck out one. The Oakland lefty's only other career shutout was his May 9 perfect game, which came against Tampa Bay at the Oakland Coliseum.
Daric Barton hit a two-run homer and Kurt Suzuki went 4-for-5 with a pair of RBI for the A's, who evened their three-game series with the Rangers at one win apiece.
Rich Harden (5-5) surrendered four runs on eight hits over 4 1/3 innings for the first-place Rangers, whose lead over Oakland in the American League West shrunk to 8 1/2 games with the setback.
