TORONTO, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Goalkeeper Stephan Frei's diving save late in the game Saturday enabled Toronto FC to preserve a 0-0 draw with Real Salt Lake.

RSL's Javier Morales struck a header off forward Fabian Espindola's crossing pass from the left corner late in the second half that seemed destined for the net, but Frei got to it just in time to preserve a point for Toronto.

Salt Lake also hit the post twice in the final 10 minutes. The draw meant RSL (11-4-7) extended its unbeaten streak to six games and improved to 3-4-4 on the road.

The tie, however, hurt Toronto (7-8-5), which needed two points as it struggles to get into the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
