ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Brad Bergesen limited Los Angeles to four hits over eight innings Friday and won his third straight decision in the Baltimore Orioles' 3-1 win over the Angels.
Bergesen (6-9) did not walk a batter and struck out four. The only run he allowed came on a balk in the first inning.
Nick Markakis singled in a run for the Orioles in the first and Baltimore went in front in the sixth when Luke Scott's two-out infield single brought home Josh Bell from third.
Cesar Izturis scored Baltimore's last run in the eighth when he raced in on a fielder's choice grounder by Corey Patterson.
Koji Uehara gave up a two-out single in the ninth before picking up his third save.
Trevor Bell (1-4) was charged with the loss after giving up two runs on six hits in seven innings.
