TORONTO, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- Aaron Hill singled in pinch-runner John McDonald from second with one out in the 11th inning Friday, giving the Toronto Blue Jays a 3-2 victory over Detroit.
Johnny Damon had an RBI single in the ninth for Detroit to force extra innings but the Blue Jays scratched out a run in the 11th against Phil Coke (7-3).
John Buck singled with one out and went to second when Fred Lewis drew a walk. McDonald then came on to run for Buck and he scored when Hill sent an 0-1 pitch to right for a single.
Toronto's other runs came on homers by Jose Bautista in the fourth and Adam Lind in the seventh. It was Bautista's 42nd of the season.
Shawn Camp (4-2) picked up the win by working two innings. Detroit loaded the bases against Camp with two out in the 10th but Damon hit a fly ball to right to end the threat.
