Sergio Garcia said Tiger Woods fried chicken remark not racist

NEW YORK, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- Forward Patrick Ewing Jr., whose Hall of Fame father played in the NBA for 17 seasons, reached a deal Friday with the New York Knicks.
The NBA club didn't reveal how much it will pay the 26-year-old, who was drafted by Sacramento in 2008, then traded to Houston before landing in New York in a trade for the draft rights to center Frederic Weis.
Ewing, who has yet to play in an NBA game, is the son of Patrick Ewing, who was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008 after a stellar career with the Knicks (1985-2000), followed by single seasons with Seattle and Orlando.
