
SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Pablo Sandoval had two of San Francisco's seven home runs Tuesday in the Giants' 16-5 rout of Cincinnati.
Sandoval and Andres Torres each had four RBI for the Giants, who outhit the Reds 18-11.
Freddy Sanchez had four hits, including a solo home run. Buster Posey and Jose Uribe also knocked the ball out of the park.
Santiago Casilla (5-2) got the win with two scoreless innings of relief for the Giants, who moved into a tie with Philadelphia in the National League wild-card race. Cincinnati maintained its 2 1/2-game lead over the second-place St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Central.
Travis Wood (4-2) took the loss, giving up seven runs on seven hits in four innings. His immediate replacement, Mike Leake, was lit up for six runs in just 1/3 of an inning.
Cincinnati had two solo home runs from Brandon Phillips and a two-run shot from Scott Rolen.
