DENVER, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Jorge De La Rosa scattered six hits over seven innings Tuesday while leading the Colorado Rockies to a 5-2 victory over Atlanta.
Working off a 2-0 cushion after one inning, thanks to Carlos Gonzalez's 21st home run, De La Rosa (5-4) allowed two runs and struck out seven before turning the ball over to Matt Belisle. Huston Street finished up, earning his 12th save.
Seth Smith had a solo home run for the Rockies, who have won three straight games. Dexter Fowler drove in a pair of insurance runs in the eighth inning with a single.
Atlanta's Alex Gonzalez hit his 21st home run of the season in the second inning and drove in the Brave's other run with a single in the seventh.
Derek Lowe (11-12) gave up three runs on seven hits over six innings and was hung with the loss for the National League East-leading Braves, who have lost three of their last four.
