Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Rick Porcello allowed two hits over seven innings and the Detroit Tigers banged out 16 hits Tuesday in a 9-1 rout of Kansas City.
Porcello (6-11) walked one and struck out four in his best start of the year.
Brennan Boesch and Will Rhymes each delivered two hits and a pair of RBI and Jhonny Peralta went 3-for-5 with a run scored for the Tigers.
Austin Jackson, Miguel Cabrera and Ryan Raburn chipped in with two hits and an RBI apiece for Detroit.
Kansas City starter Kyle Davies (6-8) was tattooed for seven runs on 12 hits over 4 2/3 innings.
