NFL: New Orleans 38, Houston 20

NEW ORLEANS, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Backup quarterback Chase Daniel threw three touchdowns Saturday, guiding New Orleans to a 38-20 exhibition win over Houston.

Daniel connected on 15-of-21 passes for 182 yards. He was intercepted once.

Starter Drew Brees was 5-for-10 for 36 yards and ran for a score as New Orleans improved to 1-1.

The Saints' top receiver was Adrian Arrington with three receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown.

Matt Schaub was 8-of-10 for 117 yards and Dan Orlovsky was 12-of-19 for 140 yards and a score for the 0-2 Texans.
