Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

KANSAS CITY, Kan., Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Birahim Diop netted a pair of first-half goals Saturday to power Kansas City to a 4-1 victory over New England.
Diop found the net twice in the first 27 minutes. His first tally came in the 16th minute when he broke in alone on New England goalkeeper Matt Reis after getting a through ball from Kei Kamara and finding the bottom-left corner.
Diop made it 2-0 for the Wizards (6-9-5) on a header 9 minutes later.
Kamara and Jack Jewsbury added second-half tallies for Kansas City.
Kenny Mansally collected the only goal for the Revolution (6-11-3), which dropped its second straight following a four-game unbeaten streak.
