Funk takes The Tradition by one stroke

SUNRIVER, Ore., Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Fred Funk earned his second win at The Tradition tournament in three years Sunday, carding a 3-under-par 69 Sunday to win by a single stroke.

Funk finished at 12-under-par 276, one better than Michael Allen, who registered a 5-under 67, and Chien Soon Lu, who shot a 69.

Tom Lehman, who held the lead after three rounds at Crosswater Club at Sunriver Resort in Oregon, stumbled to a one over 73, ending up knotted with Mark Calcavecchia (66) in fourth place at 10-under 278.

Tommy Armour III (70), Mark Wiebe (70), John Cook (71) and J.L. Lewis (72) all finished a stroke further back at minus-9.
