MILWAUKEE, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Chris Dickerson drove in a pair of runs and Ryan Braun homered Saturday to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-5 decision over San Diego.

Dickerson's fifth-inning sacrifice fly broke a 3-3 tie and Braun's long ball in the next frame turned out to the be decisive score as the Brewers clinched their three-game series with the first-place Padres.

Mike McClendon (1-0) picked up his first major league victory with three scoreless innings in relief of starter Chris Narveson. John Axford came on in the eighth to record a five-out save.

Kevin Correia (10-8) absorbed the loss for San Diego, surrendering five runs on seven hits over 4 1/3 innings of work.
