MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Peter Bourjos homered and drove in four runs and the Los Angeles Angels unleashed a 16-hit Saturday in a 9-3 win over Minnesota.
Bourjos delivered a two-run shot to highlight a four-run second inning and added an RBI triple in the fifth as the Angels evened their three-game series with the Twins at one win apiece.
Erick Aybar added three hits and drove in a run and Bobby Abreu chipped in a solo homer for the victors.
Francisco Rodriguez (1-3) tossed 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of starter Trevor Bell to pick up the victory.
Twins starter Kevin Slowey (11-6) was tagged for four runs on seven hits in just three innings. Slowey -- who pitched seven no-hit frames in his previous start -- was removed from the game after experiencing triceps discomfort.
Michael Cuddyer collected a pair of RBI for the American League Central-leading Twins.
