
SUNRIVER, Ore., Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Tom Lehman's 3-under-par 69 Saturday put him two strokes ahead of a trio of competitors after three rounds of The Tradition in Oregon.
Lehman, seeking his second Champions Tour major championship of the year, ended 54 holes at 11-under 205, two strokes ahead of Bernhard Langer (69), J.L. Lewis (66) and 2008 Tradition champion Fred Funk (70), all of whom came in at minus-9.
Langer is looking for his third major of the season after capturing the Senior British Open and U.S. Senior Open in back-to-back weeks.
Second-round leader D.A. Weibring ran into trouble Saturday, shooting a 2-over 74 to fall into a tie for fifth place with Chien Soon Lu (65), John Cook (68), Bob Gilder (69), Bob Tway (71) and Gil Morgan (71) at 8-under 208.
