CINCINNATI, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Cedric Peerman, a free-agent rookie out of Virginia, ran for two fourth-quarter scores Friday to rally Cincinnati to a 22-9 pre-season win over Philadelphia.

The Eagles took a 9-7 lead through three quarters on three field goals from David Akers, the last of them being a 48-yarder with 8 seconds left in the third.

Peerman, who carried 12 times for 47 yards, scored on a 22-yard run with 11:48 to play in the game and added a 1-yard score with 3:19 to go. His second touchdown came four plays after the Bengals took over at the Philadelphia 15 on an interception by cornerback Morgan Trent.

Cincinnati's first touchdown came on a 6-yard run by Bernard Scott in the second period.

Carson Palmer went 15-of-23 for 169 yards but threw two interceptions in Cincinnati's second win in three games.

Philadelphia's Kevin Kolb completed 11-of-17 for 126 yards. The Eagles are 1-1.
